Several country sections will see freezing rain on Thursday, including the Northwest, Northern Rockies, upper Midwest, South Central US, South, mid-South, and Southeast.
On Thursday, thunderstorms will wrap around the Gulf Coast over parts of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, the Florida Panhandle, and throughout southern Florida.

Beginning on Friday, a pair of storms will move into the US, with some areas receiving a double dose. Here is the latest 3-day forecast from the National Weather Service (NWS).
Thursday: Snow over parts of the West and northern Rockies, including Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, and Nebraska. To the east, snow for Michigan, Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. In the South, snow over portions of Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Virginia.
Friday: The first of a pair of wide-ranging snowstorms will dip down into the US over portions of the West and upper Midwest. Snow in the West is expected over portions of Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico. Snow for the Dakotas, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan in the central US. In the southeast, snow over Virginia and North Carolina could be heavy in places. Snow could stretch into Delaware, Maryland, and southern New Jersey.

Saturday: Another snowstorm dips down along the northern tier of the US, bringing snowfall to portions of Montana, the Dakotas, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York.
In the West, snow over portions of Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, the Oklahoma Panhandle, southwestern Kansas, and Northwestern Texas.
