Freezing Rain from Texas to Maine, Possible Flooding in the South

Snow and freezing rain will stretch from Texas to Maine, while to the south thunderstorms and heavy rain with the possibility of flash flooding, and rain showers for the Southeast and southern Northeast, snow for the Northwest.

Here’s a look at today’s snow forecast from the National Weather Service (NWS).

West: Snow for most of Washington, Oregon and Idaho, as well as western and central Montana, western Wyoming, northwest Utah, the northern half of Nevada and portions northern and eastern California along the Nevada border. Snow for southeastern New Mexico, as well as western and northern Texas.

Central US: Snow for portions of northern Texas, Oklahoma, Southeast Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

East: Snow for portions of New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.

Freezing rain stretches from Texas to Maine

A band of freezing rain will stretch diagonally across the country from Central Texas into southern Maine. The affected states include portions of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.

Thunderstorms, rain in South and East, potential flash flooding

Thunderstorms and rain across the South, Southeast, and into parts of the Northeast.

Thunderstorms for Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, western Tennessee, southern Alabama, the Florida Panhandle, and central Georgia.

Rain across the Southeast stretching into the mid-Atlantic and Northeast to southern Maine.

Heavy rain will bring the potential for flash flooding over eastern Texas, northern Louisiana, eastern Oklahoma and northwestern Arkansas.
