An ice storm will stretch from Texas to New York on Thursday, affecting seventeen states. Freezing rain is forecast over Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York.

Snow from coast-to-coast

Snowfall will stretch across the entirety of the nation on Thursday, with heavier storms in the central US, Ohio Valley, and Northeast.

Snow is forecast over portions of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.

Thunderstorms in the South, potential flooding over five states

Thunderstorms are forecast over the South-Central US, the deep South, and the mid-South on Thursday.

Thunderstorms are forecast over Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, and West Virginia.

Heavy rain with potential flooding is forecasted over five states, including Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Ice storms will move into the mid-Atlantic Northeast on Friday, while the Northeast will see heavy snow. Ice storms will return to the South-Central US on Saturday, with snow along the northeastern tier.

In the West, snow over portions of Wyoming, Utah, and Colorado. In the East, snow over parts of Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, and other parts of the Northeast. Heavy snow is expected to blanket northern New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and southern Maine.

An ice storm is expected over portions of the mid-Atlantic and New England affecting Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts.

Spotty rain showers throughout the South-Central US, South and Southeast.

Saturday:

In the south-central US, an ice storm over parts of Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.

Snow is forecast along the northern tier over Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, New York, and Maine.

In the West, snow over portions of Washington, Oregon, and Northern California.

Rain for the South and Southeast over Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and the Carolinas.

Mixed precipitation for portions of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Kentucky.
