A large swath of potential severe weather across the South spanning from Louisiana to North Carolina and a large scale threat of flooding, while snow for the upper Midwest and heavy snow over New York and New England.
The threat of severe weather will span over a large swath of the South into the Southeast on Wednesday stretching from Louisiana to North Carolina.
The National Weather Service (NWS) is warning of possible severe thunderstorms over Southeast Louisiana, Southern Mississippi, the Western Florida Panhandle, southern and central Alabama, central and northern Georgia, South Carolina, and southern and southeast North Carolina.
The NWS is also warning of potential flooding over southern Louisiana, southern/central/northeastern Alabama, western and northern Georgia, southeastern Tennessee, northwestern South Carolina and southwestern North Carolina.

Possible mixed precipitation is forecast over parts of the eastern Ohio Valley, mid-Atlantic and Northeast on Wednesday. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter weather advisory for parts of the Northeast including Pennsylvania, New York and Vermont, with a winter storm warning and potential heavy snow over eastern New York and western New England areas.
Snow is forecast by the NWS over portions of the upper Midwest including northeast Iowa, southeast Minnesota, central and northern Wisconsin, and northern Michigan.
A wintry mix is forecast by the NWS for portions of northern Illinois, central and northern Indiana, Michigan, central and eastern Ohio, descending into parts of eastern Kentucky, West Virginia, and western Virginia.
