The NWS has issued coastal warnings from Texas to Florida after Tropical Storm Hanna formed in the Gulf of Mexico, while thunderstorms will span the US bringing severe storms to the Midwest and a flood risk to Southwest.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued warnings in the Gulf of Mexico as tropical storm Hanna moves towards Texas.
Tropical storm warning: Along the Texas coast and inland from Brownsville to Houston; along the north-central Gulf including flower garden banks Marine sanctuary; the Northwest Gulf including Stetson Bank.
Tropical storm watch: Texas, including Houston/Galveston.
Hazardous seas warning: Southeastern Texas and the entire coast of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and the Western Florida Panhandle.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a warning of severe thunderstorms over portions of the upper Midwest for Thursday over western and central Nebraska; the majority of South Dakota, where there is also the risk of flash flooding in the eastern portions of the state; south-central, central and eastern North Dakota; west central Minnesota.
