Two Large Severe Weather Fronts for Eastern US, Freezing Rain in North

Winter storm warning: northeastern Minnesota, northern Wisconsin, northern Michigan.

Winter weather advisory: northern Wisconsin; northern Michigan; western Connecticut; western and Central Massachusetts, eastern New York; Vermont; New Hampshire; western and northern Maine; central New Mexico.

Flood warnings for portions of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, the Florida Panhandle, Tennessee, Illinois, and Indiana.

High wind warning and advisories for portions of: southern California, northern New Mexico; central and eastern Colorado; southern South Dakota; southern Texas; east-central Georgia; central South Carolina.

Dangerous week of severe weather, tornadoes, over 65 million at risk

This week has seen an outbreak of tornadoes, with more than 65 million people at risk of severe weather on Wednesday.

On Monday, more than 25 tornadoes touched down in Texas, damaging roughly 1000 homes, while a 73-year-old woman died north of Dallas when her home was destroyed, CNN reported.

On Tuesday, CNN reported a deadly tornado ripped through the New Orleans area, killing at least one person and leaving widespread destruction in the Arabi neighborhood.

Here is the latest 3-day forecast from the National Weather Service (NWS).

Wednesday: Severe weather in the east, freezing rain in the north

Severe thunderstorms with the potential of heavy rain and flooding on two separate fronts for Wednesday.

Potential severe weather stretches from northern Florida through Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia in the southeast. Potential flooding over northern Florida in the Panhandle into southern Georgia.

In the Ohio Valley, potential severe weather over portions of Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and West Virginia.

Freezing rain in the north over portions of Minnesota, Wisconsin, northern Michigan, into the Northeast over parts of Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.

Heavy snow over northeastern Minnesota.

Fire weather warnings over southwestern New Mexico and western Texas.

Rain and mixed precipitation over Oregon and Washington, with a wintry mix over Idaho and Montana.

Thursday: Thunderstorms, freezing rain

Thunderstorms will stretch along the East Coast from Florida to New Jersey.

Freezing rain possible over portions of New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.

Mixed precipitation over parts of Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana and Michigan.

Fire weather warning over southern Texas.

Friday: A wintry mix for the East and North

Mixed precipitation over the upper Midwest, Ohio Valley, parts of the mid-South, mid-Atlantic, and Northeast, with potential freezing rain over Maine. A wintry mix over parts of Washington.

Thunderstorms over southern Florida.

Rain in the central US over Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska, and South Dakota and in the mid-South over Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, and West Virginia.
